Supervised Agricultural Experience Program Ellis Clark Regional Agri-Science & Technology Center Nonnewaug High School Have exciting opportunities available? All sophomores, juniors, and seniors are required to complete a minimum 200 hours of approved agricultural related work per year. These students are passionately excited to practice their skill sets in our community! The Supervised Agricultural Experience Program, or SAE, is an essential part of the agri-science & technology program. It is a required form of work experience beyond classroom time which provides additional experiences in areas of the student's agricultural interest. These experiences enhance the student's knowledge and skills in a real work environment.
| Situations that best benefit Students include: - Paid positions doing work that is suitable for the student to perform. These also provide an opportunity for learning and growth.
- Volunteer positions at non-profit agricultural organizations. These may also include unpaid observational activities, job shadowing or internships.
- Entrepreneurship/self employment where the student develops and executes a business plan for an agricultural enterprise, and demonstrates a certain level of investment and return.
